Vancouver Masonic Centre
A premiere, modern, Masonic facility with mixed-income housing
VMC
The Vancouver Masonic Centre is a dual-building development that brings together two distinct programs on a single site: a 5-storey Masonic Lodge with event, bistro, retail, and office space, and an 18-storey mixed-income rental tower delivering 150 homes to the south end of the Granville Bridge. Managing the complexity of two clients, two programs, and two occupancy timelines required deep coordination from day one. Urban One engaged in over a year of pre-construction collaboration with the design team, refining scope and resolving design intent across both buildings before a single shovel hit the ground.
When the client requested a phased occupancy to bring the revenue-generating rental tower online ahead of the Lodge, Urban One worked with the design and consulting team to make it happen, delivering the residential tower three months ahead of schedule. The project also achieved LEED Gold certification, and a Gold award at the 31st AWMAC Awards for millwork excellence. It is a project that reflects what Urban One does best, managing complexity without losing sight of quality.
