Jewish Community Centre

A new beginning for a Vancouver landmark

JCC Vancouver

The Vancouver Jewish Community Centre redevelopment is a landmark institutional project near Oak Street and West 41st Avenue, delivering a transformative new six-storey, 200,000 square foot facility designed with inclusion, flexibility, and sustainability at its core. The building brings together an exceptional breadth of programming under one roof, including an eight-lane 25-metre swimming pool, expanded fitness and wellness spaces, two full gymnasiums, a enlarged childcare centre with rooftop outdoor play area, universal changerooms, a multi-function theatre with retractable seating and full wheelchair access, a welcoming café, and a purpose-built home for the Vancouver Holocaust Education Centre. The project is being delivered to LEED Gold standards and is designed to serve the full Jewish community across every generation.

The project is being delivered in phases, ensuring both the JCC remains operational throughout construction. Managing the complexity of a nine-storey mixed-use institutional building across multiple user groups, operational requirements, and building systems demands the kind of rigorous coordination and stakeholder collaboration that Urban One brings to every project of this scale and significance.
